Fire and Rescue Services Department
Fire and Rescue Services Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu is entrusted with the task of fire fighting and rescue operations in times of emergency.
The ‘Madras Fire Brigade’ commissioned way back to 1908 has grown to a full fledged Fire and Rescue Services Department with a strength of 6698 personnel and operates through 286 Fire and Rescue Services Stations located in all the 32 districts in Tamil Nadu.
