IRCTC or Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd online ticket booking system helps users to book Indian Railway general, waiting list, tatkal tickets online using a netbanking, credit card, debit card or cancel ticket etc
Once registered users can log in with irctc login page and enter their from and to stations, date of travel, ticket type like e-ticket or i-ticket, quota like tatkal or ladies to find trains.
Then it will list all available trains with train no, departure and arrival time, and 1A, FC, 2A, 3A, 3E, CC, SL and 2S classes. click on preferred class to see the seat availability. Click on Book to start the booking process.
Enter passenger details, berth preference, auto up-gradation, senior citizen, boarding point, child passenger details and verification code and enter payment details in the next step to complete the booking process. Most of the nationalized banks including state banks and private banks cards and netbanking are supported in the payment gateway.
IRCTC website also has option to view booked history, print e-ticket, cancelled history, offline cancellation, File TDR and history, info about Shubh yatra, quick book, mumbai season ticket, banner auction etc.
