Kendriya Vidyalaya, AFS, Sulur, Coimbatore



Kendriya Vidyalaya, Air Force Station, Coimbatore was established as a full fledged Vidyalaya in 1981 from its earlier status as a branch of primary section of Kendriya Vidyalaya Coimbatore. In 1983 higher secondary section with Science, Commerce and Humanities stream was started. Later the commerce and Humanities streams were done away with.

The school was elevated to the status of MODEL KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA in 1998 enabling the development of computer labs , junior science lab , sports infrastructure,etc.

The school is affiliated to the CBSE New Delhi. It is a coeducational institution. Sanskrit is taught as third language. Instruction is imparted through the media of Hindi and English. The ultimate objective is to enable the pupil to achieve proficiency in both the languages.

The school prepares the students for the All India Secondary School and Senior School Certificate Examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) New Delhi.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Air Force Station Sulur located at Kangayampalayam, Air Force Station, Sulur is in the heart of the textile hub of Coimbatore- Tirupur in Tamil Nadu. It is on the Coimbatore-Trichy National high way, 24 kilometers away from the Coimbatore Railway station.
