M.V.Muthiah Government Arts College for Women, Dindigul
M.V.Muthiah Government Arts College for Women was established in 1966 in Dindigul by the Tamil Nadu Government as there was no college for women in the district.
It started with an intake of 175 students with pre-university, undergraduate courses and a hostel to accommodate 50 students. It was affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University.
In 2003, there was a change and the college became affiliated to Mother Teresa Women's University, Kodaikanal. The Principal, 86 faculty members, one Librarian, one Physical Directress and 31 Non-Teaching staff contribute to the development of the college.
Totally 1708 students get benefited. So far 38 convocations have been celebrated conferring degrees on the graduates.
