Maharishi Vidya Mandir & Junior College, Chetpet, Chennai is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi.

The school began its own transport system with a purchase of a Bus and a Van during the year 1984-85. The basic infrastructure of a school with Library and Lab was setup in 1985-86.

The first batch of 31 students of Junior college appeared for the Public examination in March 1997. Three storey building with 2050 students on West Block was a turning point in history of MVM. To develop mental health and physical growth, Counseling Cell was set up with two Counselors.

The school enjoys a student strength of 4027 and staff strength of 153. The synergy of teamwork and the qualitative improvement shown in different spheres beckons the institution today.
