Nakkheeran started its functions from No.1, Mandapam Road, Kilpauk, in a 10 x 10" small room, situated on the banks of the Coovam river.
The first issue came out on 20th of April 88. Mr.Sivaji Ganesan, who started his own party at that time, wrote in Nakkheeran titled as Neenkal Athanaiperum Uthamanthana sollungal.
With the support of sincere, hardworking and dedicated team, Nakkheeran started publishing sensational investigative news items.
With the whole-hearted support of the readers, Nakkheeran circulation went upto 1,33,000 issues within a year.
