Trichy Airport
Trichy airport is a small airport and is situated about 7 km from Trichy city. The airport has connections to all major destinations in India and has flights to Sri Lanka, Singapore and Gulf countries like Sharjah, Kuwait, Fujairah and Ras al-Khaimah (United Arab Emirates). There are plans to upgrade Trichy airport to an International Airport. Expansion work is on progress. The airport will be getting the new terminal building by the end of 2007.
