Ajmal's upcoming movie is Kathirvel opposite Kadalil Vizhunden fame Sunaina.

Kathirvel is the story of a village boy, Kathiresan Veluchaamy, who completes his 12th Std and comes to Chennai looking for a good life.

Kathiresan falls in love with a Modern Brahmin girl and the story progresses through the events in his life. He lands up in a gang of 6 robbers and trouble starts following him.

Kathirvel is produced by V. Senthilkumar under the banner Papillon Communications Pvt Ltd and is directed by the debutant director Venkat, who was an assistant of Director Saran.

Sagar Madhav scores music for Kathirvel. He is the son of the prominent music director from Mollywood Raveendran. Kathirvel is expected to have some fresh and good music from Sagar.

The film will reach theatres in October.
