Actor Dhanush's cousin Kannan is making his debut with the upcoming Tamil movie Mallukattu, directed by T. Muruganantham. The story is written by the director himself.

Produced by T.D. Prathaban and S. Nanthagopal under the banner The Film Company, Mallukkattu has Bharath Reddy in a negative role.

Taaj Noor composes music for the film. Raja Mohamed handles editing. Honey Rose and Soundarya do other leading roles.

Mallukkattu will reach theatres by August 2011.
