Muriyadi : Sathya Raj in a remake

Making a remake is short cut to success for directors and producers.

Director Selva is changing gear for a thriller with Sathya Raj donning an important role. The film titled Muriyadi will have Ganesh Venkatraman, the cop of Unnaipol Oruvan in lead role. Also in the cast is common man's super star Sathyaraj and Malayalam hottie Ramya Nambeesan.

The film started shooting in November in Pollachi and is expected to be completed by 15th December.

The story revolves around Ganesh Venkatraman, Sathyaraj and Ramya. The film is about a trio coming together against anti-social elements.

Director claims to put the audience on the edge of their seats.

Renjith Shankar directed Malayalam film Passenger, is the inspiration behind this remake. Ganesh Venkatraman will appear as the lawyer, played by Dileep in the original, the role of the journalist played by Mamtha will be done by Ms. Nambeesan in the remake. Sathyaraj will play the role of the ordinary man done in the original by Sreenivasan.

The movie will carry songs by D Imaan, to suit Tamil aesthetics. Muriyadi is produced by K Balachandar's Kavithalaya.
