Director Vinayan has returned to Kollywood after a long gap after 'Kaasi' with Vikram. He now directs his next movie in Tamil titled 'Naangam Pirai'. The film is based on the novel titled 'Dracula' by Fram Stogar.

Monal Gajjar, Shraddha Das, Aryan, Prabhu, Sudheer, Thilakan, Nassar are acting in this film which has a lot of Hollywood technicians working for the film.

Aryan, the debutant actor is playing the lead, while Sudhir play the role of Dracula. The film is taken as a 3D movie and shot at locations at Romania, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pondicherry, and Kochi.

Satheesh Babu handles camera and Nishanth does editing. Pabithjoerge, assistant to AR Rahman composes music. Sriraj produces the film under the banner Sudha Screens.

Story and screenplay are written by Vinayan, in addition to directing the movie.
