India won the 4th ODI against Srilanka in Colombo by 67 runs. MS Dhoni set a new record of 9 consecutive ODI international wins under his captaincy.
Irfan Pathan took 3 wickets while Sehwag and Praveen Kumar took 2 wickets. Chasing a mammoth victory target of 333 runs, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 265 runs in 48 overs.
Gautham Gambhir's 150 runs put India on top in the 4th ODI against Srilanka at Colombo. India has set up a target of 333 runs for Srilanka. Gambhir’s century came off just 113 balls and was studded with 8 fours and a huge six.
Indian skipper MS Dhoni gave Gambhir good support with his 94 runs off 96 balls. Gambhir became the first Indian batsman to make 150 on the Lankan soil against the hosts. Gambhir and Dhoni together made a 2nd wicket partnership of 188 runs to give India a strong foundation.
Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan dismissed the Indian opener as his 503rd victim and became highest wicket-taker in the One-Day Internationals. Nuwan Kulasekara picked three Indian wickets.
