Loss in Stockmarket is the reason behind Delhi kidnap
25 November 2008, 09:50am IST

In a shocking news, a 15 year old Delhi boy was kidnapped by a gang including the boy's cousin and asked the family for a ransom of 80 lakh rupees to release the boy. But the operation became a failure when the cousin came to know of the family's plan to go to Police. He became panicked and dumped the boy in Okhla, a day after he went missing, with his hands tied.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (south Delhi) H G S Dhaliwal shared this shocking information : "The family received a ransom call for Rs 80 lakh. They were very adamant on the amount as they said that they had suffered losses amounting to the same in the stock market."

This has been a case of extreme effects of the market meltdown. South Delhi police had arrested the two MBA students along with four others, in connection wth the boy's kidnapping.
