In the wake of delayed response to Mumai terror attacks, Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh on Monday decided to quit the post.

Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil resigned yesterday and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil resigned today taking moral responsibility of the attack.

Maharashtra government is under intense pressure on the weak handling of the attack.
