MDMK leader Vaiko arrested for his pro-LTTE speech

Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) leader Vaiko was arrested in Chennai on Thursday evening for openly supporting banned Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).

In a similar case he was arrested in 2002 for pro-LTTE speeches by Jayalalitha government under controversial law Prevention of Terrorist Activities Act (POTA) and spent 18 months in jail.
