Tamil Superstar Rajnikant asks his fans not to celebrate his 58th birthday, to express solidarity with Srilankan Tamils. Superstars birthday falls on December 12. Earlier, actor Kamalhaasan has abstained from celebrating his birthday on November 7 for the same issue.
According to Sudhakar, incharge, Rajinikanth Fans Welfare Association, ''Everyone is deeply hurt by the sufferings of Tamils in the neighbouring island nation. Hence, we have chosen not to celebrate Rajinikanth's birthday on December 12''.
