Sabarimala Sri Ayyappa sannidhanam will be open today for Mandala Pooja. Lakhs of devotees will throng Sabarimala every Mandalam season from across the country.

By evening 5.30 pm Sabarimala Thanthri Kandarar Rajivar and MelSanthi (Main Priest) T.K. Krishnan Nambuthiri will open the 'Thirunada' and wake Sri Ayyappan from his divine sleep, by lighting lamp. The new MelSanthis for Sabarimala and Malikappuram will assume charge today. Thiruvananthapuram Maruthamkuzhi Thekkedath Manayil N.Vishnu Nampoothiri is Sabarimala MelSanthi. Chengannur Idanadu Thamaramangalath N.Srikumara Sharma will be the new Malikappuram MelSanthi.

There are no other poojas is Sabarimala today. By 10 pm in the night, Nada will be closed after Harivarasanam. Mandalapooja will start from tommorrow morning.
