Sensex down 385 points, closed below 10,000 mark

Despite Barack Obama's historic win world markets across the world plunged on Thursday as investors doubtful about a quick recovery in world financial system.

Sensex opened sharply lower in the morning and recovered by after-noon. But later it erased all gains and closed at 9734, down 385 points.

Metal, Oil & Gas and IT indices are the major losers.

Tata Steel (-13.67%), Tata Motors (-12.17%), Sterlite Industries (-11.33%) and Reliance Industries (-7.71%) are the major losers in the Sensex.

Most of the Asian markets closed in deep red and Europe also trading in with 3 to 4 percent loss across the board.
