World markets tumble on Monday morning as investors worried about financial crisis in the US is speading to global economies. Japan's index Nikkei is down 4.25% and touched a fresh four year low. Hong Kong and China are lost almost 5% today.

Sensex breached 12,000 level today and closed at 11,847.06, down 5.42 per cent or 679.26 points. Nifty ended at 3,623.25, down 195.05 points from it's previous close.

Major losers are DLF, Jaiprakash Associates, Tata Steel and Sterlite Industries.

Investors are still doubtful about the $700 billion bank rescue package passed by US government. News from Europe also not good as one major bank in Germany is on the verge of collapse. Yesterday European union meeting assured that EU governments will do all possible things to avoid collapse of banks.
