It really makes us guess through the weird things happening around in Kollywood right now. Merely, the filmmakers are coming up with already beaten busy stories of early 80s. In the recent times, ‘Vedigundu Murugesan’ and ‘Malayan’ have been the best illustrations out for it. Nonetheless, here’s another one joining the list ‘Aaru Maname’. The problem with the film is that filmmaker’s amateur tactics of handling the subtle script with a flimsy screenplay.

One would go through the painstaking thoughts about what does Director Sudeesh Shankar actually trying to convey.

No issues if you’re coming up with a story of ‘Crow and Fox’, but you must narrate it as a big deal.

The film opens with Vaithi (Deepak), an auto driver on the run of saving his elder brother (Sriman). In fraction of moments; we are thrown into a flashback of Vaithi being an unloved son of his dad (Rajesh). Vaithi and Ananthi (Nicole) fall in love with each other and she’s the younger sister of goon (Ponvannan). With some clashes bounded between Vaithi’s brother and the rowdies, the situation turns to be worst when he’s killed. His widowed wife has no solace and his parents are despaired. Meanwhile, Vaithi is appalled on the entry of a strange woman (Karthika) addressing herself as her brother’s wife.

Now things proceed in a much clichéd way….

Rajesh, the newcomers strides with high-potentials of dancing well and performing stunts. It’s better if he has good directors picking him up. Nichole has to do something about shaping her physiques gorgeously if she’s planning to compete with red-hot missies in town as well we suggest her to graduate from a perfect school of acting. Rajesh after a long time gets a meaty role, but again he’s same-patterned. Ganja Karuppu is really annoying on his part while Ponvannan has no role to perform. Karthika is the only solace to all the audiences.

Srikanth Deva like his dad lifts the musical scores from various films and we can’t help.

On the whole, ‘Aaru Maname’ is a film that would make at least make it successful if ‘Theatre Projector operator’ lays his hands on the reel.

Verdict: Not worth watching…
