Achchamundu Achchamundu is a fourthcoming Tamil film directed by Arun Vaidyanathan, starring Prasanna, Sneha and American actor John Shea.

Achchamundu Achchamundu has already won an award in USA (The Best Homegrown Feature Film award at the Garden State Festival in New Jersey) before its commercial release and is the First Tamil Film selected for screening in Shanghai International Film Festival.

The film had a thunderous reception at Shanghai international film festival where the Chinese audience embraced the film and shared their appreciation with director Arun vaidyanathan

Achchamundu Achchamundu has some other specialties also. The film is being shot in New Jersey at several locations. For the first time in Indian cinema, Red One camera is being used for filming. This film is the first Tamil film to be completely rehearsed on location before the actual filming. Also this film holds the distinction to be the first Tamil film to be done completely in live sound.

The movie revolves around a South Indian Tamil immigrant family living in the US and the impact of its desire to adapt certain cultural values to assimilate into the American fabric.

Achchamundu! Achchamundu! is produced by Asma Hashmi, Ananth Govindhan, Srinivasan Perumal, Arun Vaidyanathan and Ramzan Lakhani.

The film is to be dubbed tentatively in Spanish, French, German, Creole, Mandarin, Mende/Temne, Arabic, Bangla, Burmese, Vietnamese, Urdu and to be released in 18 different countries in a time span of 6 months from date of release.

Audio launch was held on 15th may at Sathyam cinemas where Resul Pookutty released the audio and trailer.

The movie is all set to release on July 10, 2009.
