Agarathi, the upcoming Tamil movie, is based on a novel titled 'Iravil Oru Vaanavil' penned by Rajesh Kumar, a renowned crime novel writer. The film is directed by Naga Venkatesh.

Agarathi is produced by D.Varadh and Sumathi Kalyanakumar. The film stars Pratheep and Azhagi Monica in the lead roles. Monicka, Kirthi Chawla, Archana and Oviya are the four heroines of this film.

Aagarthi is a thriller movie and the story revolves around the murder of an advocate. Many people are affected because of the doing of one single person for the sake of money. This forms the crux of the film. The film is scripted by the director himself.

The hero Pradeep is doing his second movie with this one. He made his debut in the film Pazhaniappa Kalloori.

Sundar.C.Babu scores the music and the film has four songs, one remix and two instrumental pieces.

The film's shooting is complete and post production works are going on. Agarathi will reach theaters soon.
