Avan Ivan is the forthcoming multi-starrer of national award winning director Bala. The film is a comedy entertainer starring Arya, Vishal, Janani Iyer, and Nivedhitha in the leading roles. Produced by Kalpathi S. Agoram under the banner AGS Entertainment, the movie has its music directed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

The story is by Bala and the dialogues by S. Ramakrishnan while the Cinematography is by Arthur A. Wilson. The film will have Surya in a cameo role. It is believed that Surya will appear in a dance number in Avan Ivan.

Sarath Kumar's daughter Varalakshmi was supposed to don the female lead earlier, but was replaced by Janani Iyer.

Arya and Vishal play brothers in Avan Ivan and have equal roles. Janani Iyer is playing the role of a Police Officer and is expected to be Vishal�s pair. None of the other details about the story of the film is divulged to the media till now. It is also heard that actor Arya has tonsured his head for the movie.

This will be Bala's quickest film which is going to complete its shooting soon.

Avan Ivan is under production and is expected to reach theaters in November.
