Namitha can be considered among the top stars of Tamil film industry. She is a crowd puller and has good opening in ticket counter. She may be the star who has acted in maximum number of films which are released this year.

Namitha starrer Azhagana Ponnuthan has been in the making for quite a long time. Namitha accepted the project for 17 lakhs in 2006. Since then many things have changed including Namitha’s fame, reputation and remuneration. Five days after the shooting began the director of film was changed. The film was in the making for more than two years now.

In AP, the sizzler squads with newbie Raj Karthik. The story is about a teenage fellow falling in love with an elder woman.

The story, screenplay and dialogues have been penned by Thiru.

Azhagana Ponnuthan’s audio is slated to be released soon after which the film will hit the pavilion.

The film is produced by K Cinemas’ Kesavan.
