Making remakes of hit flicks is always a safe bet for producers and top actors. After her lucky hits Pokkiri (remake of Telugu flick) and Gajini, Asin doesn't want to take any risk. Her formula these days is to act in remakes.

Asin has migrated to Bollywood a couple of years ago and found instant success with Aamir Khan Starrer Gajini (again a remake). After that success she haven't had plan to show her face in the smaller industry called Kollywood. Many Kolly filmmakers and actors requested her but the actress refused their offers. But all of a sudden her Bollywood dreams became a nightmare with the very second venture London Dreams with Salman Khan and Ajay Devgon which left her with no good offers in hand.

Next we hear is, Vijay and Asin will team up again after Pokkiri and Sivakasi in Bodyguard (remake). Both the above films did good business at the box office.

Malayalam film Bodyguard had Dileep and Nayantara in the lead. Nayantara came to film industry through Malayalam. But her image in Tamil is more of an item girl than an actress. The credit goes to super hits like Gajini and Billa.

Siddique will direct the Tamil version which will be Vijay's 51st film. Bodyguard which has plenty of comedy and action will be a treat for Tamil audience.

Vijay has seen success with Vettaikaaran after a small gap. The star is busy with 50th film Sura. In Sura, Tamannaah is the heroine. Vijay is happy with the offer of Siddhique remaking this film. Vijay and Siddhique have earlier delivered family entertainer Friends, which is considered humorous by Tamil film lovers. This was a remake of Siddique's own film with same title.

News was that producer R.B. Choudary of Super Good Films was supposed to produce the film but plans were changed and now Sivaraju Venkatraju of Geetha Chitra International is the producer. He has previously produced Vijay's Priymanavale in 2000.

This remake is titled Kaaval Kaadhal.
