Karthi Sivakumar's upcoming movie Siruthai will be a Pongal release. Directed by Siva, Siruthai is produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja under the banner Studio Green. Siruthai is the remake of Telugu superhit 'Vikramarkudu' starring Ravi Teja and Anushka.

Tamanna will play the leading lady opposite Karthi in the movie. This is the second film of this successful pair together, the first being Paiyya. Karthi plays two contradictory characters in this movie. One is that of a Police Officer, while other is a thief.

Santhanam takes care of the comedy in Siruthai. Santhanam plays assistant to Karthi's role as pickpocket.

Siruthai has music by Vidya Sagar. Siruthai is shot extensively in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Siruthai is slated for Pongal release, 2011.
