Ko : K. V Anand's new flick

After the super hit Ayan, cinematographer-director K.V Anand achieved stardom. He launched his new project starring Simbu in the lead. The film would pair debutant Karthika, the daughter of yesteryear Tamil actress Radha.
Anand visited locations in China earlier last month to shoot this film. Ko which means king in Tamil, revolves around the story of a photo journalist and his face-off with various characters. Music for this action cum romantic entertainer is scored by Harris Jayaraj. The crew members, Anand, Simbu and Karthika were planned to leave for China in the first week of February, when a twist in the tale happened.

Simbu and KV Anand had difference of opinion over the script.
The gossip is that the script had political overtones. It also demanded the little superstar to appear in various get ups including that of an old manâs character.
Simbu wanted Tamanna to be his heroine.
AGS Kalpathi Agoharam, the producer tried to settle the problems but both parties were obstinate. Anand has decided to go ahead with Ko with a new hero and Karthika as heroine
The grapevine is Jeeva is the new hero. He is very happy with the subject. Anand may able to shoot as per the schedule. Jeeva is busy shooting for Singam Puli and Roudram simultaneously and is inquisitively looking for the release of Katcheri Arambam on Feb 25.
Ajmal the actor, who played lead in films like TN 07 AL 4777 and Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru, will be part of this film. Ajmal, whoâll play Jeevaâs friend in this commercial film, will show shades of grey towards the culmination of the film. Ajmal has already played an important role in Mysskinâs Anjaathey. His character in Ko was first offered to Narain and Prasanna.
On February 3rd, Silambarasan celebrated his 26th birthday with his fans at the Devar Kalyana Mandapam in Chennai. Simbu will be starting his ambitious film Valiban or the Bhoopathy Pandian film soon. He will be doing films for Lingusamy and Venkat Prabhu after that. Simbuâs upcoming release is Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya.
