Manirathnam's next film with Silambarasan

Grapevine is Manirathnam signed up Silambarasan for his next film. The script work for the film will start soon. Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor is to play Simbu's part in the Hindi version. Manirathnam is producing the film under his home banner.

The shooting will start in November 2010. Silambarasan is remaining silent about the development. He was lately in news as he walked out of K.V. Anand's Ko. Media believe that his decision to walk out of the project was due to the alluring offer to work with reputed director Manirathnam.

Simbu's next

Simbhu's much awaited film Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya directed by Gautham Menon is creating good report.

Udhayanidhi Stalin of Red Giant Movies acquired the film's rights, and has been marketing Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya through his satellite channel networks. The film stars Trisha opposite Simbu.

This quixotic love story orbits around the love between an aspiring filmmaker Karthik, who wants to be a famous director, and a Christian girl Jessie. Music by A.R Rahman is topping the charts.

Silambarasan, who is 26 had the image of a playboy, he is maturing and is getting many good offers to portray his histrionic abilities.

b>Raavana
There are not many directors in India whose name speaks both class and the mass. The genius director Manirathnam is presently occupied with big budget bilingual titled Raavana in Tamil and Raavan in Hindi.

The films are yet to be released. Raavana is said to be the modern adaptation of Indian epic Ramayana. The film revolves around Raavana, the ruler of Lanka, who kidnapped Sita.

The story’s high point is Sita backing Raavana in lieu of Rama, who mistrust her chastity.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are the lead pair in Hindi, while Vikram play the lead opposite Aishwarya in Tamil. Music is by A.R. Rahman. Raavana is produced by Mani Rathnam's sister Sharda under the banner Madras Talkies. Raavana and Raavan are set to release in June.
