Padikathavan : another Dhanush movie

There is nothing special in this typical Dhanush movie but if you take cinema as a pure entertainment medium then you can watch it at least once.

Padikathavan, produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Thalainagaram and Maruthamalai fame Suraj is a masala mix of action, glamour, comedy and dance.

Radhakrishnan alias Rocky (Dhanush) gets a tough treatment from his father (Prathap Pothen) because he is the only uneducated member in the family. Accidentally he meets a well educated girl, Gayathri (Tamanna), and in his usual style he approaches her.

This we have seen in many Dhanush movies including the recent ones like Thiruvilayadal Arambam and Yaradi nee Mohini.

Later he comes to know that Gayathri is from a rich family in Andhra Pradhesh and her father (Suman) is a very influential man.

The second part is filled with Vivek's comedy and other incidents in which Rocky tries to get in touch with Gayathri at her native place.

Thamanna's performance in Padikathavan underlines that she is going to be the next attraction in the Kollywood after Nayantara and Trisha.

Many unbelievable and unnecessary fight scenes test our patience.

Padikathavan is a typical Dhanush movie but it is worth watching once as it is filled with some good comedy numbers, dance sequences and songs.
