What could be your intentions much before you walk into theatres? Preferably, to watch a good movie or at the least to kill your time, isn't? So, how about 'Renigunta'? Does it live up to your expectations?

If you're bounded to so many questions before you heading to the show, you'll surely get more than you could've looked out for. Trust us! Renigunta is an overpoweringly adrenaline-pumping film, loaded with mind-boggling action packed sequences and indeed a breezy romantic touch on pars.

Post Subramaniapuram, if at all you looked out for a film of this similar genre, obviously 'Renigunta' could be the better one.

There are no such big stars on title cards and indeed the technicians as well. It's out and most a grandiosely done film by newcomers.

Debutant Panneer Selvam has crafted an interesting storyline that has right mix of violence, emotions, friendship, love and what else? A heart-wrenching climax.

The film starts off with 3 youngsters vividly running across the nook and corners of Renigunta. It's live-or-die situation for the guys as they are chased by cops. Cut to flashback, Sakthi (Johnny) is convicted for his attempt to murder a person who killed his parents brutally on the busiest roads. Prison life seems to be so hard for Sakthi as cops take him into task now and then.

But his redemption comes through a bunch of young criminals, who save him for hassling situations. On a night, these guys elope from the prison and indeed stab the person who killed Sakthi's parents.

Their next option is about heading for Mumbai so that these guys find right place of killing people for money. But on the train, they've to get down at Renigunta due to unavoidable situations.

It's not an alien land for these guys, as they find the same lease of life. But gradually, the barbarians are transformed into lovable men with the love and affection of new characters walking into their lives. But naturally, fate has its own plans for these guys.

Watch the rest over the scenes

Newcomer Johnny suits the role well with his good physiques. Gradually, he gives an impact of same actors as we got to witness in 'City of God' The other guys aren't an exception. Especially, watch out for the stunning performance of 19 year old kid Dabba aka Prem Kumar (Theepatti Ganeshan), who makes you laugh, feel astonished and soak your eyes with tears at last. Particularly, the sequence where he knows his destiny and starts crying like a child would really make you feel - is he the same guy who stabbed and chopped many to death.

Sanusha has done a remarkable job and does justice to her role. Bunker is perfect and can look out for great offers from now on.

The screenplay may go seemingly flimsy in latter part with romantic and comedy sequences. But then, it's must for the film, or else which would make you feel bored with overdosed violence.

Ganesh Raghavendra comes up with laudable performance tuning to the best melodies. Every song has a great impact to the situations. Background score is over the top while cinematography is fantabulous.

On the whole, 'Renigunta' deserves special mention and more appreciations. Panneer Selvam has delivered a meaningful film on how kids must be groomed well.

Maybe, some may suggest this is not a movie for family audiences. But if you ask us, it has got more values on societal aspects.

Verdict: 'Renigunta' is one more revival in Tamil Cinema
