Pranitha plays the female lead in Saguni, while Santhanam, Radhika Sarathkumar, Roja and Kota Srinivasa Rao play the other leading characters. Anushka Shetty will play cameo role in Saguni.

Karthi will appear in a new getup in Saguni. The shooting of Saguni is happening in and around Chennai. The heroine Pranitha is a Kannada actress. Her debutant Tamil movie was Udhayan opposite Arulnidhi.

Saguni is expected to be a political drama and started production in April 2011. The film will grace thatres by early next year.
