Silambarasan's 'Silambattam' will hit the screens on December 12. The movie is completed and ready to be released. Silambattam is much awaited by Silambarasan's (Simbu) fans.

Silambattam is directed by debutant Saravanan, who was a cinematographer before. Silambattam is produced by Muralidharan in the banner of Lakshmi Movie Makers. New face Sana Khan and Sneha are in the lead roles in the movie. Mathi cranks the camera for this movie.

Simbu plays the role of a Hindu, Brahmin priest in this movie. Due to some circumstances he takes law in his hands and punish the baddies.The film is expected to open big.

The heroine of the film Sana Khan is from Mumbai. She is known as 'Choti Madhuri' because of her resemblence to Madhuri Dixit. Sana has already done some high profile commercials.

Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music and the songs from Silambattam are topping the charts. The remix 'Vachukava' is a craze among youth already. Simbu has rendered his voice for two songs.

Silambattam is an action family entertainer. Prabhu Ganesan, Santhanam, Kishore, Nirosha, and Nedumudi Venu plays other importnat roles in Silambattam.
