Director Hari comes back with the sequel to Surya movie Singam. Singam 2 will have two heroines opposite Surya, Anushka Shetty and Hansika Motwani.

The shooting will commence once Surya completes KV Anand's Maatran. Singam 2 will have locations in Chennai, Hyderabad, Tuticorin and Tirunelveli. Foreign locations will be in South Africa and Kenya.

Devi Sri Prasad composes music for the film. Priyan cranks the camera.

Director Hari recently held an audition to select the character actors in this movie. A large number of prospective actors participated in the event. Those selected will play key roles in the film.

Bollywood actor Mukesh Rishi is roped in to play the role of the villain in Singam 2. Santhanam, Vijayakumar, Radha Ravi, Nasser, Rahman, and Vivek also appear in key roles.
