Sultan: The Warrior is the much anticipated Indian film having animated version of Rajinikanth as the lead. Even though it was expected to release on January 2009 it was rescheduled.

The soundtrack for the film is composed by A.R. Rahman. Top animation artists from around the globe are working for this film .

Sultan will have the usual entertainment factors of Rajinikanth films like the punch dialogues and racy stunt scenes, all in stylish manner.

Arrangements are being made to screen this film worldwide. Rajni fans all round the world are eagerly waiting to see him in animated form as this film has already raised high expectations.

The cost of this full length 3D movie touched Rs.600 million. This movie is expected to generate business of at least Rs.2.25 billion.

The film is produced by Adlabs in association with Ocher Studios and is directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth, Rajnikanth's daughter. While Ocher Studios is owned by Saundarya, Adlabs is owned by Anil Ambani.

Soundarya Rajinikanth has earlier worked with S.J. Surya in the film Anbe Aaruyire a couple years ago. The trailer of Sultan, the Warrior, was shown during the screening of Sivaji.

The film is slated to be released worldwide with 3,500 prints, which is a record in Indian film industry and will be released in English, Tamil, Hindi and Telugu.

Viewers are hoping that this film will be released soon and wont clash with Shanker’s Yandiran which is planned to release next year.
