Actor - director Sasi Kumar does the role of a lover for the first time in the upcoming Tamil movie Sundarapandian, directed by one of his assistants S. R. Prabhakaran. Sasikumar produces the movie under the banner of Company Productions.

Lakshmi Menon is the heroine. Vijay Sethupathi, Appu Kutty, Inego, Suri, Thennavan, Narain and Sujatha are the other artists on the cast. Prem Kumar handles camera, while music is composed by N. R. Raghunathan.

Dinesh does the choreography for dances while Dilip Subbarayan handles stunts. Sundarapandian is a love story set in a village background. The role Sasikumar handles in this movie is different from his previous appearances as an angry young man.

The music of Sundarapandian was released recently. There are five songs sung by Haricharan, Anand Aravindakshan, Saindavi, G.V. Prakash and Shreya Ghoshal.
