Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru – Not so special

Production: Satyam Cinemas, Real Images

Direction: Nandini

Star-casts: Ajmal, Rupa, Mouli and others

Music: Mani Sharma

What strikes me hardly is the fact that is it a flick churned out of Rs.2Crores? Oops! Nothing seems to be much worthy for that big price. Of course, it isn’t a much worth watching flick for the pricey tickets you buy.

Maybe Satyam Cinemas and Real Images, producers of this film could’ve attempted selling the film over direct release on set up box channels and they could’ve done indeed got good profit.

It doesn’t mean that ‘T4’ is such an unbearable experience to watch. It’s a good work by debutant Nandini who comes up with mirthful one-liner comedy tracks. But, the story is merely a polished replication of director Fazil’s yesteryear laugh-riot ‘Arangetra Velai’.

Fine! Let’s get onto the synopsis and later analyze it.

‘Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru’ is about couple of colleagues: Arjun (Ajmal) and Archana (Rupa) working together in an advertising agency under a boss Srinivasan (Mouli). Srinivasan has a peculiar problem and that’s about failing to recollect the names. Arjun is so lethargic in his works while Rupa is contrastively characterized. The two poles are always apart on sides, but situations urge them to get on together for bringing their boss out from speculative situation.

They’ve got to shoot a commercial video with a cute-looking baby as lead. After a big pursuit, they come across a beautiful child. But things are upside down as they’re struck in serious scenario as the baby posing for commercial is actually kidnapped.

What unfolds next happens to be a series of hilarious and thrill moments.

Firstly, we’ve got to appreciative the innovative approach on technical aspects. Be it musical score by Manisharma or cinematography by Sudhir: they’re top-notching. For the first time, the Red One Digital Camera has been perfectly used with proper lighting. But, lot of amount seems to have been shelled out for DI and grading.

So, how about performance? Ajmal isn’t the right choice though he comes up with a different show from his previously done films, which featured him in serious roles. Likely, Rupa gets on with commendable show on body language. But then, the problem is she overreacts with facial expressions and she isn’t fit for glamorous roles. Maybe, she can find a better place in modeling field. Mouli is extraordinary and entertains you on all parts.

Nandini, a gold medalist isn’t supposed to come up with such clichéd stories. It would been fantastic if she had a better film to project since she carries brilliancy over presenting the elements on screens. No issues! Better luck next time.

Finally, putting the entire film into ‘verdict box’, Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru has no chances of making it big across ‘B’ and ‘C’ centres as well in single screens. Perhaps, with a long weekend ahead, multiplexes may have the elite groups booking their tickets with vigorous promotions by producers.

Verdict: Below average.
