Udumban is an upcoming Tamil movie, directed by Ramji S Balan. Jeganadhan produces this movie under the banner Modern Cinemas.

Motorbike racer Dhilip Roger play the protogonist. Natchathira and Radhika play the female lead roles.

Ramji S Balan himself is the music composer as well. Ramji S. Balan penned the story of Udumban.

Udumban was all set to release this month, but the release was stayed by the City Civil Court in Chennai, by a wildlife activist Selvaraj. Selvaraj claims cruelty to the Monitor Lizard (Udumbu) in the movie. Monitor Lizard is an endangered species.

But the director tells that only Computer Graphics is used in the movie to create the lizard.

So until further hearing on February 16th, Udumban’s release is postponed.
