Virudhagiri : Vijayakanth turns director

Captain Vijayakanth, who help deprived in his films, does the same in life. He was in news for Holding Hunger strike in Delhi for the goodness of Lankan Tamils and conducting Political tour from Chennai to Kanniyakumari.

Vijayakanth is gearing up to commence directing his next movie Virudhagiri by January under his home banner Captain Cine Creations.

The story and screenplay of the movie is ready and the first schedule will be chasing an international criminal who has entered India, with the help of the FBI officials. The sequence will be shot in Hong Kong, Malaysia and New York.

Earlier Vijayakanth has shelved Virudhagiri to accommodate director Vikraman's Mariyadhai But it didn’t do well at the box office. In Mariyathai Vijayakanth donned the duel roles of father and son sharing screen space with Meera Jasmine, Ambika and Meena. T. Siva produced the films.

The Virudhagiri function was disciplined and a grand affair. Rama Narayanan, Ameer and P.S. Saminathan were some of the guests present at the event.

Through Virudhagiri he is to tell his polical wishes in punch dialogues.
