Award winning lyricist Pa Vijay plays the lead in the upcoming Tamil movie Gnabagangal. Gnabagangal is based on a real life story of his late friend Kathiravan. Pa Vijay shared room with Kathiravan in the early days of his film career. The movie is made from the events written in Kathiravan's diary, which Pa.Vijay got from his native place.

Gnabagangal revolves around Kathiravan, who fell in love with his neighbour Meera. Meera went on to break his heart by getting married to someone else.

Pa Vijay acts opposite Sridevika in Gnabagangal. Cinematographer-turned-director Jeevan directs Gnabagangal.

Pa. Vijay is an eminent poet who has written lyrics for more than 1200 songs in his career.
