Nootrukku Nooru is the remake of 1971 movie in the same name. Directed by Selva, who is known for remakes, the film is produced by K. Balachander's Kavithalaya.

Vinay Rai of Jayam Kondaan fame, will play the hero's role. Sneha, Sandhya, Neelima, and Karthika play the heroines.

Yesteryear actress Kasthuri, Hema Choudary and Salim Ghouse also appear in prominent roles. Music is composed by D.Imaan.
