Puthu Kathai is a Telugu film dubbed into Tamil, starring Rambha, Samiksha, Nasser Vijay Sai, Mitra and Vikram.

The movie is about three friends who try to make money in any easy way. They meet a big business man who offers them a strange assignment. He pays them a hefty some to get himself killed.

Eventhough doubtful in the beginning, the trio agrees to it and when the D day came, they find the man murdered before they reached his place. The blame falls on them.

How they extricate themselves from this blowzy bearings forms the blow of the story.
