Vikram is the National Award winning actor from the Tamil film industry. He is one of the current reigning heroes of the Kollywood. He acted in a number of superhit Tamil movies. His screen name is Vikram alias Chiyaan Vikram, after the success of his film 'Sethu' in which his character's name was 'Chiyan'.
Early Life
Vikram was born as John Kennedy on April 17, 1960 in Paramakkudi, Ramanathapuram district of Tamilnadu. He was educated in Mount Fort School, Yercaud where he was given opportunity to take part in extracurricular activities like karate, swimming and dancing. He took part in various games also. Vikram's aim in life was to become an actor from that time onwards.
Vikram did his graduation in English from Loyola College, Chennai and later completed his MBA from LIBA(Loyola Institute of Business Administration). He was given a role in the film 'Meera'.
Film Career
Vikram's first blockbuster movie was 'Sethu' which was released in 1999. He had some more blockbusters in the next years like 'Dhill' in 2001, 'Gemini' in 2002, 'Dhool' and 'Saamy ' in 2003. Vikram's latest block buster was 'Anniyan' released in 2005. This film was megahit in Kollywood and Tollywood. He did a number of movies in Malayalam and Telugu.
