Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Deemed University was formerly known as Sathyabama Engineering College.
Deemed university smart campus contained with all basic facilities for the all round development of student personalities.
The institute is accredited with B++ grade by the National Board of Accreditation, which is the highest by any Deemed University in the State of Tamil Nadu besides being accredited by the institution of engineers from Section A and B and has ISO 9001:2000 certification.
The University consists of a sprawling campus spread over 350 acres on the IT Highway of Chennai city. The institute infrastructure includes more than 125 class rooms, laboratories,drawing halls, work shops, central and departmental libraries, hostels, audio visual halls, spacious dining halls and sports facility.
