Vidyasagar College of Arts and Science, Udumalpet was established with a view to meet the ever increasing demand for job-oriented higher education in Commerce, Management, Computer Science etc.for boys and girls from in and around udumalpet.
The managing trustee constitutes the college committee to manage the affairs of the college. One of the members in the committee is appointed by the vice - chancellor of Bharathiar university.
The MCA library of Vidyasagar college of arts and science has a vast collection of valuable titles to meet the requirements of educational process. The library has 1700 volumes of books on advanced computer science of 527 titles of latest publications. It also subscribes to 25 international / Indian journals , magazines and periodicals. There is also an excellent collection of many video and audio cassettes and cd-roms.
