There are five Rathas at Mahabalipuram which include The Dharmaraja, The Bhima, The Arjuna, The Draupadi and The Sahadeva.
Shore Temple occupies a most extraordinary site at the very margin of the Bay of Bengal. The waves during high tide sweep into its walls. So the sculptors in them have washed away by wind and tide over thirteen centuries.
