Muriyadi, a forthcoming Tamil movie, is the remake of the Malayalam hit 'Passenger'. Renowned Director K. Balachander and his daughter Pushpa Kanthaswamy are producing this film directed by Selvah.

The Malayalam version featured Srinivasan, Dileep and Mamta Mohandas in lead roles. Muriyadi will have Sathyaraj, Ganesh Venkataraman and Remya Nambeesan in the pivotal roles.

Sudden changes in an ordinary man's life due to some of the problems happening around him is the theme of the movie.

Muriyadi started rolling on November 16 and will be shot extensively across the exotic locales of Kovai, Pollacchi, Paalakaadu and Senkottai.

The film is expected to be released in February 2010.
