Tamil University Museum, Thanjavur



Tamil University Museum, established in 1983, is located at Thanjavur.

Displayed items include replicas of Indus Valley, tools of Paleolithic and Neolithic ages, replica of Yazhappanam seal, pottery pieces, beads, burial urns, inscriptions on stone in Tamil and Marathi, ancient coins, wooden and stone sculptures, bronze images, wood carvings, arms, models of swan, leather puppets, Rajasthani lamps, musical instruments, ivory inlay, and contemporary paintings.
