The migrating birds come from far-off lands like Siberia, Australia, Pakistan and Sri Lanka for nesting and breeding.

Vedanthangal offers two ‘watch towers’ that provide a clear view of the birds from the binoculars stationed there. There is also a viewing platform that provides a vantage point.
