Vijayantha Matric Higher Secondary School, Avadi, Chennai is a co-educational institution from I to class XII.

The school was started during the year 1975 as a English medium Primary school to be managed by the workers of Heavy Vehicles Factory ,Avadi on a voluntary basis. The school had kept phase in line with the gradual development of the scenario and had enlarged its activities to the present status of senior secondary school.

During 1997-1998 VSSS had switched over to state syllabus for std. XI & XII to meet the growing needs and the local situation prevailing then.
