Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewage Board
The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board an Independent Institution was constituted in G.O.Ms.No.916, Rural Development and Local Administration Department, dated 21.05.1975.
The administration of Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board is governed by the Board consisting of Board of Directors, headed by Managing Director. The policies and directions of the Board are carried out through the Managing Director.
The mission of the Board is "to extend a positive contribution for enhancing the health and quality of life of the Citizens of Chennai City by providing them with an adequate supply of safe and good quality water at a reasonable price and by providing customer service in a prompt and courteous manner".
